Office Policies

We strive to treat our patients the way we like to be treated. Our office policies were made to enable us to give all of our patients the highest quality of care.

After-Hours Emergencies

We understand that life events can happen outside of our normal business hours (9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday – Thursday). If you have a mental health emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency facility. Our off-hours phone number is (866) 886-9481. You may leave a message with our answering service and we will attempt to return your call within 24 hours.

Missed, Late-Cancelled, or No-Show appointments

In order to function efficiently for the benefit of patients and our providers, our office has an appointment cancellation policy. Your appointment time is reserved especially for you. We do not double book appointments and our providers pride themselves on giving you their full attention and time for the entire appointment.

We are happy to cancel or reschedule your appointment up to 24 business hours before the time of your appointment. However, we strictly enforce a no cancellation policy after that point.  If you call to change or cancel your appointment after that time, we will regretfully inform you that you will be charged the full cash cost of that appointment, as insurance won’t cover your missed appointment.

Business days are Monday through Thursday, excluding holidays. This means if you have an appointment at 1:00 PM on a Monday, we will change it without charge up to 1:00 PM on the preceding Thursday.

Prescription Refills

Your prescriber schedules appointments so that refills can be taken care of during your visit. Please let them know of any medications you will need when you are meeting. To minimize errors and for your safety, we discourage medication refills between scheduled appointments. It is your responsibility to keep up with appointments to obtain enough medications on time.

If you need a prescription between appointments, our providers will refill them on a case by case basis. You should call the pharmacy at least three business days before you expect to run out of medications. Ask them to send a medication refill request to our office via fax: 720-488-6566, or electronically. You must have an appointment in the near future before our providers will refill medications.

Please allow 24-48 hours for us to process your request. Not all prescription requests go through the system smoothly. For example, your pharmacy may be out of the medication or your insurance company may require a prior authorization. Therefore, please request medication refills early, before you run out.

Please Note: Medication refill requests are handled Monday through Thursday during our regularly scheduled office hours and can take 24-48 hours to be filled by our providers.
